Best Summer Hairstyles for Frizzy Hair

Summer can be a time of intense frustration for those with frizzy hair. Humidity and heat exposure combined with dry, fragile, and over-processed hair often results in nightmarish conditions and hairstyling disasters.

The key to styling frizzy hair in the summer is combining the right products with appropriate styles that help to tone down the appearance of frizz and fly-aways. Let's explore the very best summer hairstyles for frizzy hair.

Loose Side Bun
Low and somewhat loose hairstyles are ideal for frizzy hair, as creating a casual pulled back style helps to play down and weigh down excess frizz. This look can be achieved at home and is best attempted with hair that reaches at least the shoulders. Begin by applying an anti-humidity and frizz controlling cream to towel-dried hair. Allow hair to air dry, as blow drying only adds to dryness and frizz. Once hair is thoroughly dried, part hair to the far left side. Gather all hair in both hands and gently pull towards the right side of the back of the head, well below the crown and just above the neck. Twist hair loosely into a flipped down bun and hold into place with an elastic band.

The Wet Look
A hot trend in summer hairstyles for any length of hair, this look can easily be created in the comfort of your own home, and is perfect for hiding frizz. Begin by applying a liberal amount of textured hair gel to wet hair, concentrating on the top section of the hair. Allow 5 - 10 minutes for gel to stiffen. For long hair, place into a low pony tail by gathering hair at the back of the head and holding into place with an elastic band. For medium or shorter hair, comb hair on the top of the head straight back before applying gel, allow gel to stiffen, and hold into place with a decorative barrette.

Cute Curls
Always romantic and stylish, curls help to tone down the appearance of excess frizz by shaping hair. This look can be achieved right at home, and is best attempted by those with hair that reaches at least the chin. Begin by applying an anti-frizz curl-boosting serum to wet hair. Allow hair to air dry, as blow drying only adds to existing dryness and frizz. Once hair is thoroughly dried, place small sections into small-sized hot rollers in the front of the hair and medium-sized hot rollers in the back of the hair. Leave curlers in hair for 15 - 20 minutes. Remove curlers and top off with your favorite hairspray.

High Pony Tail
Great for keeping both cool and trendy in the summer heat, this look can be created right at home, and is best attempted by those with hair that reaches at least the shoulders. The high pony tail is a great summer style for frizzy hair because it pulls roots tightly back while the length of hair is weighed down. Begin by applying a smoothing anti-frizz serum to damp hair and comb through well. Allow hair to air dry, as blow drying only adds to dryness and frizz. Once hair is thoroughly dried, gather all hair above the crown, covering the part with hair, and hold into place with an elastic band.

Beach Waves
Attractive and simple to achieve, the wavy look works wonders for frizzy hair by weighing down dried sections with light styling products. This look can easily be created in the comfort of your own home, and is best attempted by those with hair that reaches at least the chin. Begin by parting hair just off-center and applying an anti-frizz mousse to wet hair. Allow hair to air dry, gently combing fingers through hair and scrunching roots with hands as it dries. Top off with your favorite hairspray.

How to Make Your Breasts Look Bigger Using Makeup

Growing up with a best friend that was a bit of a late bloomer, I saw firsthand how breast size can affect self esteem and confidence in women. While the other girls in our group of friends had began developing in junior high school, Lindsey simply did not. She would be nearly seventeen before blossoming into the gorgeous, curvy figure that she is today.

During those years of uncertainty, Lindsey tried every trick in the book. From the common mistake of stuffing her bra to wearing heavy padding, nothing would make a noticeable yet realistic difference. Eventually, a hairdresser friend shared a few amazing tips with her concerning the use of cosmetics to make her breasts look bigger.

How to Make Breasts Appear Larger with Makeup: Bronzer
Have you ever noticed that pale flabby skin looks much more saggy and loose than flabby tan skin? Catching a few rays on problem areas of the body helps to create a warmer and more healthy look, resulting in a smoother and more firm appearance.

The same concept is true with pale skin on and around the breasts. Adding a warm color can drastically change the appearance of breasts, creating a firm and rounded look.

The first step to using bronzer to make breasts look bigger is finding the perfect shade for your skin tone. The best way to go it to locate a slightly shimmery shade (remember, shimmer and glitter are completely different) of bronzer that is roughly two shades darker than the skin on and around your breasts.  Once you have found the right bronzer, apply evenly to the skin on the top of and in between breasts.

How to Make Breasts Appear Larger with Makeup: Blush
Much like artists' use of shadows and shading, regular women can use blush to create the a foolproof shadow that makes breasts appear larger and fuller.
Using blush to make breasts appear larger can be somewhat difficult at first, as the right shade is key to successfully pulling off this trick. Begin by searching for blush shades that are approximately one to two shades darker than you would typically wear on your face. Avoid anything messy, overly powdery or shimmery when selecting a blush for this purpose.

Once the right shade has been selected, tap a large blush brush into the product. Gently blow on the brush or tap the wand to remove excess powder. Apply to the skin on the middle of the top of the breasts from side to side in a sweeping motion.

These tricks can be used alone or together in order to create the appearance of larger breasts in particularly low-cut tops and/or swimsuits.

The majority of these products did not work as well as advertised, some were so-so, and a select few were incredibly effective. These highly effective frizz-fighting hair care products include:
